WEBB 19 HIGH ST. OXFORD’ (rubbed but legible), block and blade fore-sight, elevating ladder rear-sight, borderline engraved lock signed ‘TOWER’ below the date and with crown stamp to tail (mainspring absent), chequered walnut three-quarter stock, white metal escutcheon to underside of stock marked ‘R.P. BOND’ over ‘O.U.V.R.C.’ (Oxford University Volunteers Rifle Club), iron furniture (lacking ramrod) and bayonet lug near muzzle
