Many consider the first model of a military vehicle before accountants get involved is the best. The series one still has the front opening windows, a must on a hot day as long as you have the brains to close them before plunging into deep water off a high river bank.! Another feature is the gated gear lever base similar to a Ferrari, it’s much better to know which slot to go for rather than stirring soup in a series 2.

This particular vehicle is fully restored at huge expense, starts and drives beautifully has 6 wheel drive and is just screaming to be played with on the river on a lazy Sunday.

Rumour has it these monsters cost £60,000 in 1960 when a nice detached house was £7000.

Stalwarts are no longer subsidised by Budges bankruptcy they are becoming rare and very sought after, prices can only go one way and quickly.
