Saracen with Turret KF0428 Mileage 1030. We often get asked for projects. With experience I now realise the Project customer wants a running vehicle with no major faults just needing minor cosmetics.
Well here we go.
After being dry stored for many years in a private collection, this old Bessie just needed a quick clean up on the plugs and points and she’s running very well, as you would expect from a very low milage, straight eight b80 Rolls Royce engine.
I have driven it through the gears, and it’s smooth changing gear just like she should. It’s got all the CES kit in the back, even the 30 cal browning gun mount and bullet case catcher, and everything the last owner took to local show grounds with him. The only non-original feature is the electric fuel pump and new fuel tank in the back, probably a sensible feature that needs leaving as is.
