Margret Thatchers Armoured Bus – This bus was specially commissioned for Margret Thatcher and her cabinet after the Brighton bombings. At obscene cost, It’s supposed to weigh 38 ton, have run flat tyres and be fully armoured all over to withstand 7.62 rounds. with a two foot deep honeycombed anti blast floor made from an unpronounceable material.

The vehicle is powered by a 12 litre rolls Royce diesel engine and has covered only 28000 kilometres from new. We have researched this vehicle and have many interesting letters many of which I couldn’t print but could show to a potential purchaser.
Not sure if this will end up in some collection or carry on its career saving lives’ probably abroad, it seats about 35 with office space at the rear with the two full size doors opening. Three of the bullet proof windows have become cloudy and we plan to have these replaced when we get its exact build spec.
