A superb, highly attractive, and complete investment-grade mid-19th century double-action pinfire presentation revolver set, displaying classic Lefaucheux architecture.
This exceptional piece is beautifully preserved, retaining roughly 85% of its deep original finishacross the frame and cylinder assembly. The iron frame, breech top-strap, and hammer are adorned with highly detailed, crisply hand-cut scrolling floral foliate engravings. A distinct inspector proof stamp, showing a clear Crown over a letter, is cleanly struck on the cylinder face.
Mechanically, the action is in flawless working order. The trigger and hammer setup functions smoothly in double-action, indexing perfectly with a remarkably tight, crisp lock-up. The barrel assembly features a clean muzzle profile with strong, defined internal rifling.
The revolver is accompanied by its premium, original fitted mahogany presentation box lined in deep burgundy velvet. The specialized casing contains its full complement of period accessories:
