DUKW 1943 – Starts well and drives through the gears. Been doing pleasure trips off a Belgian beach for many years. She is running a big Volvo Diesel engine for economy and safety I expect. Not tried it on the water yet but I’m tempted. It seats about 40 people and we have some paperwork showing it was certified every year for Commercial work with the General public.
I can see it doing a Bollywood style Asian wedding in Bolton city centre. It’s not registered for British roads but watch this space – I’m tempted to get the ball rolling, what a laugh that would be.
