Description
British Lee Enfield No4 MK1 Rifle with retrofit Anti Tank Launcher
This WW11 British Lee Enfield No 4 Mk 1 Rifle has been retrofitted into an anti-tank launcher to fire the No.68 Anti-Tank Grenade. The design utilizes the Lee Enfield action with shortened barrel and woodwork and with the addition of a Burns’ 2 1/2 inch discharger cup. The magazine has been deliberately restricted to prevent live .303 rounds being accidentally loaded and is painted RED as a visual aid. A blank charge was used to fire / propel the grenade. The wire windings and additional nut and bolt were added to strengthen and support when being fired. The rifle is marked M/47 – BSA and dated 1943 with matching numbers to receiver and stock band.
Deactivated with a working action, it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
